Journey
Having recently finished my architecture studies in Aachen, Germany, I am currently at the very beginning of my professional journey. During my education, I was taught a strongly function-oriented approach to design. Building on that foundation, I place a lot of value on creating meaningful architecture: Spaces that genuinely serve people while respecting our planet. It is exactly this balance of human-centric purpose and sustainability that I want to learn on my journey in the field.
Roots
Growing up as the third generation in a family of architects, I was exposed to very strong opinions about the built environment from an early age. While I deeply value this heritage and the solid foundation it provided, I try not to just blindly accept it. I see it as my ongoing task to constantly validate and evolve these inherited perspectives, which pushes me to develop my own unique vision and voice within the field.
Balance
I love the outdoors and usually experience it best from the saddle of my mountainbike to clear my head. But I also like a good contrast: every now and then, I trade the quiet nature for a night out in a techno club.
Art
When I am not busy designing walls in the office, I am occasionally out painting them with graffiti. Strictly to test urban textures and surface materials, of course.
